INTRODUCTION
“The more we learn about the world and the
deeper our learning, the more conscious, specific and articulate will be our
knowledge of what we do not know, our knowledge of ignorance”-Karl Popper
Bacon, “said knowledge is power”. Hill
objected to this as he explained the General and specialized knowledge.
Knowledge is nothing of the sort like power; knowledge is only a potential
power. It becomes power only and when organized into definite plans of action
and directed to a definite end.
This missing link in all systems of
education known to civilization today may be found in the failure of
educational institutions to teach their students how to organize and use
knowledge after they acquire it.
Educate is a word derived from the Latin
‘edoco’ meaning to educe, to draw out, to develop from within. An educated
person is necessarily one who has an abundance of general or specialized
knowledge. Educated people have developed the faculties of their minds so that
they may acquire anything they want or its equivalent without violating the
rights of others. Henry Ford comes well within this definition
THE MIND OF KASHENGO
Kashengo is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Mkumbo’s
family. He is a last born in his family. This family consists of three children
who are Maurid, Hamnazo and Kashengo
Kashengo was born in January 19th
1994 in the village called
Mtakuja, in Kinga district, Tabora region. He grew up under care of his
parents, relatives as well as neighbors. In fact; kashengo was very loved and
loveable at his village
In 2001 Kashengo had seven years old, so it
was the appropriately age and specific time for him to join standard one. His
parents sent him at Mtakuja Primary School and joined standard one.
In 2006, he was in standard six, his parents
told, and gave him their short life story about their clan and advised him to
study very hard
In 2007 he completed standard seven with
high respect and waited for results. Few months later, their results were held
out and Kashengo was among students from Mtakuja School who had passed well the
exam. His family prepared good and very encouraging ceremony to congratulate
their son being the first person in their family to join secondary education.
It became the new history in their family which for so long period of time.
Since; for so long period of time they had no person from their clan who had
joined secondary education. In their minds and hearts, it was the joyful
history for their clan, knowing that …………To be continued.
